Genre: Self-Help
I read this book unexpectedly and found to be a good read. The book is a story of Go-Getter Joe and his quest to become successful. A genuine success.
Knowledge or skills can achieve success to a certain level. Authors call that as stratospheric success. But for someone to become extremely successful in any aspect of life, there should be an unique quality within them. This is one of the important points of discussion in the book.
The book explains the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success through a beautiful story. Joe undergoes a transformation meeting different people through his mentor, Pindar. A learning for a life-time. A journey that changed his perspective of what it actually takes for a person to become successful. A philosophical belief that giving is the secret of success.
Here are the five laws of stratospheric success:
- The Law of Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
- The Law of Compensation: Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them. (My Favorite)
- The Law of Influence: Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first.
- The Law of Authenticity: The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
- The Law of Receptivity: The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.
I did not explain in detail what the above five laws mean as there are almost self explanatory with the short description given by the authors. I suggest to read this small book of 150 pages to understand these five laws better.
