Rise in Global Average Temperature: Temporal Variation

The global average temperature is one of the important measures to estimate the progress towards the goal set during the Paris Agreement. While developed nations are not taking the blame for the rise in temperatures for leveraging significant economic growth during Industrial Revolution in the last century, we must affirm their contribution to the increased emissions of Green House Gases (GHGs).

If we can infer, it is evident that there is a rapid growth from the starting of this century. While governments across the globe are planning to experiment/investigate/use the alternate sources of energy, we have a long way to go to stop the impending disaster. A mindset change is basically the need of the hour. Thinking sustainable should happen at an individual, a family, a neighborhood, a society, a region and a nation level to see a global change. Only then we can give our future generations a place to lead a life (I can’t even use the adjective meaningful).
