During COVID, I was attending a month-long weekend fellowship program that invited participants to discuss, act and follow sustainable practices’ in our day-to-day life. The name of the program is Sustainability Ambassadorship by Global Shapers Community.
The program highlighted topics from Sustainable Menstruation to Zero Waste Lifecycle to Green Washing to Sustainable Clothing, many of which were new to me at least at that time. As you can see, the main focus remains on the daily activities in our household. Before this program, I was under an impression that the sustainability necessarily mean saving big, saving cities, saving countries and thereby our planet earth. But I realized that the actual change should come from our homes, as simple as (asa) segregating dry and wet wastes, asa eating home food, asa buying from local grocery shop and asa avoiding single use plastics. This is the best part of the program that I liked.
Here is the checklist of few items that we can act upon as a part of sustainable living. I have been following many if not all of these since then. Why don’t you comment what you will pick up from the list?
I can help you with the reasons via email, if you are interested to know more.
And we all know it is not a comforting change but the impact can be huge. but, Try For Yourself.
